Monday, March 20th, 2006

If you would like to submit an entry (or several) to the One-Minute Video contest you’ve got a couple of choices.

  • Put the video on your own server (or your friend’s server or whatever) and give us the URL.
  • Upload it to one of the online video hosting folks like www.youtube.com or http://video.google.com/ and give us the “Embed HTML” and the URL.

Email the information to us at oneminute@markhayward.net. After we screen them, we will put all the entries up so that everyone can enjoy them.

Hosted by Drew Tetz, this is Takeshi’s take on what to do with one minute of video time. Even though we all know that Takeshi is AWESOME, don’t go and copy his vid thinking that you are guaranteed to win. ;)

New contest in the works

Keep your eyes peeled, we’re working on a fun new contest that we will announce in the next few days.  It will be open to anyone, in any country, and should be really cool.  Massive first prize too.

Stomp Wind

Saturday, March 4th, 2006

Put the yo-yo down on the floor, put your toes on top of it and apply pressure until the yo-yo pops out forward from under your foot.  It should wind up at least a little bit. Then just yo-yo it back up to your hand.

Tips:
- Be careful not to literally stomp on your yo-yo and crush it to bits.
- This works best on carpet, although other surfaces work too.  If you get in trouble for ruining the floor it’s your own fault.  Don’t blame us.
