The Duncan Ignite is a good entry-level yo-yo. It is a great all-around and/or looping yo-yo, and the fixed wood axle keeps costs down while providing a link to the classic yo-yos of the 1950s and earlier. This is the best yo-yo for players who are 1st grade and younger, and for old-timers (no offense of course, we love them) who used to play WAY back in the day. The Ignite is one big step up from the Duncan Imperial, and is the yo-yo most similar to the traditional-shaped all-wood ones from the 50s and 60s.  It has a wood axle, and cork "brake pads" for good response.
